Privacy Policy
This policy explains what we collect when you apply to or work with 8x, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the rights you have over your data.
Last updated: June 7, 2026
AI8x (legal entity name pending — update before launch) (“AI8x”, “we”, “us”) operates a content-production and distribution platform connecting brands with editors who create short-form AI video ads and reposters who publish approved videos on a schedule. This policy applies to ai8xreposts.com and all related application funnels and dashboards.
1. Information we collect
Editor applicants
- Identity & contact: full name, email, WhatsApp/phone number, country, and city.
- Professional details: weekly capacity, editing tools, and AI tools you use.
- A work sample — either a link you provide or a video file you upload — and, on resubmission, the feedback history on your application.
- How you heard about us and any referral you name.
Reposter applicants
- Identity & contact: full name, email, WhatsApp/phone number, country, US state, and city.
- Eligibility details: your device, how you heard about us, any referral, and your acceptance of the applicant agreement.
Attribution & on-device data
- First-touch marketing attribution captured when you land on the site: UTM source, medium, campaign, term, and content, plus the referring URL and landing path. This is held in your browser's local storage and attached to your application only when you submit it.
- Form drafts you have not yet submitted are saved locally in your browser so you can resume; they remain on your device until you submit or clear them.
If you are approved and become an account holder
- Your role, account lifecycle status, and onboarding progress. Your password is handled exclusively by our authentication provider and is never stored by us.
- Reposters: the social-account handles you create for the program, the proof you upload for each post (e.g., screenshots), and post performance metrics such as view counts.
- Editors: the video submissions you deliver and review feedback.
- Payout information: the details needed to pay you through an external platform (e.g., your Upwork profile/email), and a record of your earnings. We record payouts but do not move money ourselves.
Technical & usage data
- A server-managed session cookie that keeps you logged in (see our Cookie Policy).
- Privacy-friendly usage analytics and standard request metadata (such as IP address and browser type) processed by our hosting provider.
2. How we use your information
- To review applications and decide whether to admit you to a program.
- To operate the platform — assign work, collect proof, and track metrics.
- To calculate and record earnings and arrange payouts.
- To send transactional email such as verification, decisions, and account invites.
- To prevent fraud and abuse, secure the service, and meet legal obligations.
- To understand and improve how our marketing and product perform.
3. Legal bases (where applicable)
Where data-protection law such as the GDPR applies, we rely on: your consent (e.g., marketing attribution), the performance of a contract (operating the program and paying you), our legitimate interests (fraud prevention, security, product improvement), and compliance with legal obligations.
4. Service providers we share data with
We share personal data with the following processors, only as needed to run the service:
- Supabase — Database, authentication, and storage of your account data and uploads.
- Resend (with SMTP fallback) — Transactional email — verification, application decisions, and account invites.
- Slack — Internal operational notifications to the AI8x team.
- Vercel — Application hosting and privacy-friendly usage analytics (Vercel Analytics).
- Cloudflare (R2) — Content delivery for public marketing media. No personal data.
- Upwork — External platform used to pay contractors. AI8x records payouts but never moves money itself.
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose data if required by law or to protect our rights, users, or the public.
5. International transfers
Our providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
6. Data retention
We keep application and account data for as long as your relationship with 8x is active and as needed for legitimate business and legal purposes. Note that certain records are kept by design: our earnings ledger is append-only, and posting proof is retained for verification and dispute history. A formal retention schedule and a self-service deletion workflow are being finalized; in the meantime you can request deletion as described below.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your data, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information (we do not sell or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising). To exercise any right, email privacy@ai8xreposts.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
8. Security
We use signed, ownership-checked upload URLs, server-managed sessions, and access controls that re-verify authorization on sensitive actions. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and respond to incidents.
9. Children
8x is for adults. The service is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product evolves. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, take reasonable steps to notify you.
